Working Holiday visa
(subclass 417)

This visa is for people aged 18 to 30 who want to holiday and work in Australia for up to one year.

First Working Holiday visa

This visa lets you holiday and work in Australia for up to 12 months. You must be aged 18 to 30 and hold a passport from an eligible country.

Second Working Holiday visa

This visa lets you extend your working holiday in Australia if you have already completed a first Working Holiday visa. You must be aged 18 to 30 and hold a passport from an eligible country.

Third Working and Holiday visa

This visa lets you work and holiday in Australia for up to 12 months. You must be aged 18 to 30 and hold a passport from an eligible country.

This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Direct Entry stream

This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Labour agreement stream

This visa allows skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer party to a labour agreement, to live and work in Australia permanently.

Temporary Residence Transition stream

This visa allows skilled workers, who have worked for their employer for at least three years, to live and work in Australia permanently.

(subclass 186)

This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by their employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Direct Entry stream

This visa lets skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer, live and work in Australia permanently.

Labour agreement stream

This visa allows skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer party to a labour agreement, to live and work in Australia permanently.

Temporary Residence Transition stream

This visa allows skilled workers, who have worked for their employer for at least three years, to live and work in Australia permanently.

(subclass 190)

This visa allows nominated skilled workers to live and work in Australia as permanent residents.

Skilled Independent visa
(subclass 189)

For invited workers, eligible New Zealand citizens, and eligible Hong Kong or British National (Overseas) passport holders to live and work anywhere in Australia permanently.

Temporary Skill Shortage visa
(subclass 482)

This temporary visa allows an employer to sponsor a suitably skilled worker to fill a position they can’t find a suitably skilled Australian to fill.

Short-term stream

This visa allows employers to bring in skilled workers to address labour shortages in Australia.

Medium-term stream

This visa allows skilled workers to work in Australia for up to 4 years (or up to 5 years for Hong Kong passport holders) and study (without government assistance).

Labour Agreement stream

This visa allows skilled workers nominated by employers who have a Labour Agreement to live and work in Australia temporarily.

Subsequent entrant

This visa allows family members of subclass 457 and TSS visa holders to apply separately and join the primary visa holder in Australia.

Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa
(subclass 191)

This visa allows eligible visa holders to work and live permanently in Australia if they meet the income requirement

For recent engineering graduates to live, work, or study in Australia for up to 18 months.

Skilled regional visa
(subclass 887)

For those who have lived and worked in designated regional areas on a previous eligible visa

Global Talent visa
(subclass 858)

For those with internationally recognized outstanding achievement in an eligible field.

Temporary Graduate visa
(subclass 485)

This visa lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily after you have finished your studies. You may be eligible for the graduate work stream or post-study work stream.

Graduate Work stream

This visa lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily after you have finished your studies. You may be eligible for the graduate work stream if you have an occupation on the skilled occupation list.

Post-Study Work stream

This visa lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily after you have finished your studies. You may be eligible for the post-study work stream if you have completed a higher education degree.

Second Post-Study Work stream

This visa is for graduates with a degree from an Australian institution in a regional area to stay, work, and study in Australia for 1 to 2 years.

Replacement stream

This visa is for current and former Temporary Graduate visa holders who lost time on their original visa due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) visa
(subclass 400)

This visa allows highly skilled workers with specialised skills, knowledge or experience to work in Australia for up to 6 months.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa
(subclass 491)

For skilled those nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in regional Australia.

Main applicant

This visa allows you to stay in Australia for 5 years and apply for permanent residence after 3 years from the time your visa is granted.

Subsequent entrant

This visa is for a member of the family unit of someone who holds a Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) and wants to live, work and study in a specified regional area of Australia.

Training visa
(subclass 407)

This visa is designed for individuals who want to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve their skills for their job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise, or in a professional development training program in Australia for up to 3 years.
